How to Make the Most of Fall Shapewear

Aug 01,2023 | curveshe

As we head into fall, we at Curveshe are getting really excited - why? Because fall is the season for shapewear! In fall, it's easier than ever to pair your outfits with shapewear, and if you've never worn shapewear before, now is the perfect time to try a new piece. Just like your everyday clothing, the type of shapewear you wear changes with the seasons. If the weather turns cold, short-sleeve shapewear or little shorts won't be too weary.

With that said, we're delving into how to wear shapewear in a way that works for you all fall. Of course, not everyone will wear shapewear in the same way. But we've found that if you stock up on a few staples, like your typical fall sweater and jeans, you'll be enjoying your pumpkin spice latte in style.

1. Don’t Dismiss Fall Shapewear

While it's easy to think of fall as a season of layers, that doesn't mean it's a shapeless season. In fact, we generally advise against overdressing in the fall. While everyone has their own personal fashion sense, it's often more flattering to accentuate your body rather than hide it, especially if you're on the curvaceous side. Plus, shapewear allows you to show off your curves and make you look cute while pairing it with a complete outfit.

2. Choose Reliable Color Schemes

In fact, shapewear can be easily incorporated into your standard outfits, especially if you use solid colors. Curveshe's shapewear is available in a variety of colors. We recommend considering a darker shade, such as black or dark brown, and adding accessories from your "everyday outfit" on top of it. This way you can get the most out of your shapewear.

3. Bodysuits, Bodysuits, Bodysuits

Perhaps one of the best types of shapewear to incorporate into fall outfits is the onesie. A onesie can be worn as a top – you can layer a pair of jeans or a skirt over the bottoms and you have a complete ensemble. Now, the type of onesie you choose can depend on the weather. If it's still relatively warm outside and just starting to cool down, you can opt for a spaghetti onesie and pair it with a sweater. On the other hand, cooler weather might benefit from a long-sleeved onesie.

4. Leggings Are Your Friends

But what if you're uncomfortable in jeans? While they may seem like a fall standard, many people don't like wearing jeans—and even if you do, you probably don't want to wear them all the time. You may want something that is more breathable, or that allows for more movement -- and a little more casual than a skirt. In this case, we recommend pairing the leggings with a long coat or sweater. Leggings don't have to be made of thin material; in fact, if you buy shapewear, they're usually made of fairly thick material and can be used as pants. You can add a pair of boots or tennis shoes to the outfit and call it a day—or you can dress it up even further. The great thing about leggings is that they can be casual or formal however you want.

5. Shape Underneath Your Basics

While we've been on the lookout for ways to incorporate shapewear into your everyday outfits, there's nothing wrong with staying true to old-school shapewear styles and opting for pieces that you can wear underneath your everyday outfits. Consider wearing a seamless fit shapewear under your favorite sweater and skinny jeans—it's easier to slip on and off than you think. Shapewear doesn't have to be just for formal wear and special occasions. Instead, well-fitting bras and panties will fit seamlessly into your clothing. You don't have to compromise when it comes to shapewear—you just have to find what works for you.

Don't miss your chance to wear shapewear this fall. A well-fitting shapewear doesn't hide your body, it shows off your curves in the best possible light. Trust us, finding this shapewear will take your look to the next level.
